I have loved this team since I was a little girl so you can imagine how excited I was to see them win a World Series after so many years since there last successful run. I wanted to go to the parade, but I didnt get to this year. Definitely next year! Listen to me already assuming they will win. Well, maybe that is because they really are the best team in baseball. I am not just saying that because I live here or because they are my favorite team of all time. Look at the numbers and it speaks for itself. One reason I think they didn't get as far as they did in so long was because of some bad decisions and pitching issues. The Yankees are one of the most solid teams I have ever seen; however, the bullpen can use some work. The money they spent last year obviously paid off (especially w/Texiera...I have no seen such a talented and skillful first baseman in my life), but I think one more solid ace pitcher and they will, without a doubt, be unstoppable as they once were. Wang will never be the same after being hurt so he is out. It is a shame too because he was so promising at first. Joba took us all by storm when he arrived but at this point he is just not a starter. He is a relief pitcher until he can get some control. He tries to hard and overthinks his pitches when he tries to complete a full game.

I am confused on some choices they recently made. Damon I think wanted too much money for what he was worth, but I do like him :) The real question is why get rid of your WS MVP. He helped you win a World Series and you get rid of him. So he can't play in the outfield, but Hideki puts up some good numbers hitting wise. I understand wanting to build a younger ball club but when you still got it...you still go it. I think many feel it was a mistake from what I hear...I prefer to wait and see before I make that judgment, but I am leaning towards agreeing with them. We will see how it works out when the season starts. Hopefully it doesnt blow up in their face. As someone said to me last week..."who is going to have A-rod's back now?"
