Celebrity Gossip: Intrusion or Part of the Job?

Lets Talk About It - From NYC w/Dana J.

So often we forget that celebrities are people too! Just as our business is not aired all over the universe. Why should their business. It is possible to stay private. I have seen it. There are always people or couples you hear about and others very rarely. Ok, it does come with the fame. With all the people out their eager to delve into their world, it is sometimes impossible to keep certain things behind closed doors. I am not going to extremes here. They are different than us in that aspect. I know when I am walking around there is nobody trying to get pictures of me and putting me in the magazines or papers. If we truly believe everything we read and hear then we should check ourselves rehab for being the completely gullible.

The truth is we do not know what the truth is. The people who are involved know the truth and thats really all that matters isn't it? Why is it essential for us to know everybody else's business. Its fun to hear the good things, the funny things, and whatever they want us to hear and know about. First when we turned on the television, opened up a magazine, or turned on the radio it was all about Tiger, now its all about Jesse and Sandra. Betty White said it prefectly in an interview that everybody should let them handle it privately and do what they need to do. I could not agree more. Why do we need to know every detail that may or may not be true. These are the types of things I feel are an intrusion. If a celebrity chooses to come out and speak than thats another story! I will not sit here a hipocrit and deny that I read magazines (real ones lol) or watch talk shows about subjects and what not; however, there is a difference between that and overdoing it. Normal curiosity is part of our human nature. People who jump to conclusions and make light of a very sad and serious situation are just ridiculous. I am sorry its true. I do not see the humor in it really. Enough is enough! Part of being in Hollywood is understanding your on view for the entire world to see and judge (part of the job), but again there should be a limit to what is part of your job. I do not blame celebrities for getting angry with cameras and reporters trying to invade their space 24 hours a day. We all need our privacy!

I hear so many comments, cracks, and jokes on a daily basis, and who are we to say what is true or false. Who are we to pass judgement on anybody? Who am I to say the type of a person someone I do not know is. I know absolutely nothing about them or their life. Do we really have nothing better to discuss. I mean there are serious issues going on besides gossip. I just think that today's society focuses on the the wrong or negative things rather than the right or positive things. Im just saying! :)
