Our Pets

Lets Talk About It - From NYC w/Dana J.

It is such a shame when you see or hear about the amount of wrong doing or abuse on pets these days. Why get one if you plan to not take care of him or her. What's the point? You need something to abuse or use as a punching bag? Go to a gym? It is a living creature that needs love just as we do. I find it so sickening the amount of killed, abused, or unwanted pets around.

There is nothing worse than watching commercials day in and day out of animals that are on the brink of death and suffering because of a criminal act, and it is just that. It is horrific the stories you here on a daily basis. Three are so many options out there. The web is a universe that is completely separate from anything else. Use Twitter or Facebook to reach out and take action. It takes only one tweet or one post to get a response from someone. Do not underestimate the power of these sites.

If you know of or see an animal in trouble, being neglected, being abused, or left on the streets, just take a few minutes to make a difference in their lives. If you need help, then ask someone. Definitely do your research before handing over an animal to another bad situation. I have tons of friends who are constantly helping pets find good homes. How can you not? They do feel and understand. They know when there is danger, when they are unloved or liked, or when they are unwanted.

I can't stress enough the legit organizations and centers out there willing to do whatever they can. It breaks my heart that some are so cold. I look at my own dog and can't even picture anybody ever hurting her if I was not her owner. I can't imagine my life without her. It is bad enough we will lose our pets at a certain point from sickness or old age, but the ones who never get a chance are my concern. It takes a few hours out of your day to do what another might not.

We all understand depending on each person's situation you might not be able to take the dog home yourself; however, that does not mean there is nothing you can do.

Love your animals...let them know they are loved...cherish them...TAKE CARE OF THEM!

DO SOMETHING IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG!

Much love and many blessings
